A Few Food Storage Dinner Recipes

So my sister is in a group of women who get together and bake with all food storage. They've managed to compile a few recipes and here's what they've come up with, in addition to Wendy Jacobs' wheat cookie recipe. Enjoy!

1. Hawaiian Haystacks

1 can chicken
1-2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can pineapple chunks
1 can mandarin oranges
2 C. rice
2 chicken bullion cubes
1-2 tsp. curry powder ( or any spice you like)
2 Tbsp. powdered milk (opt.)
1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
1/2 C. slivered almonds/casheews (opt.)
1/2 C. golden raisins/craisins (opt.)
Chinese Noodles

Make rice by melting 2 Tbsp. butter in saucepan and adding rice, bullion and onions. Sautee in butter until rice is translucent. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until water is absorbed....fluff rice with a fork. Combine chicken, cream of chicken soup and 1 can of water adn warm. Add curry and powdered milk. Serve over rice. Garnish with your favorite toppings!

2. Noodles Al Forno

Cooked Noodles
1-2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/4 C. powdered milk
1 C. water
1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can tuna, chicken or turkey
1/2 can olives

Mix together soup, milk, water, vinegar and salt until smooth while heating over stove. Add meat adn olives. Serve over cooked noodles.

3. Chicken Enchiladas

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cooked chicken chunks
1/2 C. onion (or 2 Tbsp. dried minced onion)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (40z.) can chili peppers (or use 2 oz. for less spicy)
1 scoop sour cream powder (opt.)
(Can use 1/4 c. powdered milk, 1 C. water, and 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar)
Tortillas
Enchilada sauce

Mix all ingredients together and fill tortillas. Cover with enchilada sauce.

4. Beef Stroganoff

Cooked noodles
1 can cooked beef w/ juice
1-2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1/4 C. powdered milk
1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 C. water
2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
2 tsp. beef bullion

Mix together all ingredients over stove except noodles. Serve sauce over cooked noodles.

5. Chicken & Broccoli

1 can cooked chicken or turkey chunks w/ broth
1 - 2 cans cream of chicken soup
1/4 C. powdered milk
1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 C. water
2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
2 Tbsp. dehydrated celery
2 Tbsp. oil (opt.)
1-2 C. reconstituted freeze dried broccoli
salt & pepper to taste
Cooked rice

Mix together all ingredients over stove except rice. Serve sauce over cooked rice.

6. White Chili


2 cans white Northern beans
